12/20/20: The plan for this week is to watch a decent amount of videos on videography and shot composition. After I absorb this information I’m going to write a detailed list of steps that need to be followed by the people who manage my church’s live stream/audio rig. They got some new equipment but really don’t know how to use it very well, so it’s up to me to kind of learn how to use it the best way and sort of write a guide for them or something. 😛

12/16/20: I want to majorly push my YT channel and try to get a decent amount of subscribers. If you read this log regularly and would like to suggest a few niches that you think I could focus on shoot an email over to andrew(at-sign)(this domain name).com A few topics that I think I can do best at presenting are cubing, hacking, gaming, game-dev, and web-dev.

12/12/20: Today I just kind of did various chores that I needed to get done around the dorm. I also did some reading while I was bus visiting (Not much but I did get some done…) Soon I’ll be back home for Christmas break!

12/09/20: Finals are this week. I will probably become a hermit for the next seven days and not be super active anywhere at all. Which, I think is totally fine and acceptable. Yesterday was a group outing to a mall (it was both boring and interesting at the same time.) I’m entirely done with all of the papers for this semester.

12/04/20: Yesterday, I was explaining to someone how this back end worked. Hopefully, I will get some well needed sleep tomorrow. Today though, we have a quiz in one class and finals coming up next week.

12/03/20: This is an example post. Because there is a person watching me do it. IDK I’ll probably delete this later.

11/28/20: Talked to the “IT guy” again. Mostly about reversing a proprietary access control system. I really hope he gets back to me on this project. Would be a lot of fun to help with. I feel somewhat disappointed with the progress I made over the break. Only a few projects were completed…

11/27/20: Today was a combination of buying stuff for Christmas and completion of those little annoying projects. Once I get those done I don’t have to worry so much about stuff during finals. 🙂

11/25/20: I have time off from school basically this entire week. So, I’m going to get a few projects done hopefully and not procrastinate. 😛 So, this is my last message out to the world of the internet before I go into book hibernation world.

11/27/20: Today was a combination of buying stuff for Christmas and completion of those little annoying projects. Once I get those done I don’t have to worry so much about stuff during finals. 🙂

11/24/20: Well, I let some of my “friends” play with Siri on my phone while I was wearing some bluetooth headphones. Long story short, my contact nickname has been changed to Batman now. So, when I write these entries I address all of my emails to Batman. 😛

11/22/20: Meh, I’m so bored.

11/21/20: All Saturdays while in school are visitation days. I need to call my old boss up and ask him if he would be OK with me working for him over Christmas break. Around the 16th of Dec. is when I get to fly back! Right now I’m doing some research for my Church History report due here soon. 🙂

11/20/20: Thanksgiving break is coming up soon. 🙂 It will be lots of fun to be with family for a while and get to eat some good food for once. 😛 I was so stressed about this one test yesterday. :/ Glad I took it and got it over with quickly. Now I just need to finish working on a few more projects. Before I know it, the semester will be over and I’ll be back home for Christmas.

11/18/20: Yesterday, I turned in a paper on the Archaeology of Jericho.
And I’m still on PTO until Friday.
But, today I’m reviewing for a “Church History” test. (Church History class basically about Baptist perpetuity)
The main goal for today is to research some more on the Roman Catholic Inquisition. (One major reason not to have a corrupt “Church” controlled government :P)

11/15/20: Today was random church stuff today. Had some sushi at a sushi restaurant nearby.

11/14/20: Certain topics will trigger a rant from me; here’s small list: Passwords, Business, Schoolwork, Public Schooling, COVID, “Unenforced” and unwritten rules. I pity the poor soul who triggered the one on business yesterday. I espoused the principle my mother taught me, “If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean.” It even rhymes so it makes it all the more memorable. 😛

11/11/20: My parents are here as well as all of my brothers and sisters. It’s super busy.

11/10/20: Yesterday was the first day of youth conference. Today is the day that the action really started. They have a preaching competition and a vocal solo and piano competition tomorrow. Because I’m in college I can’t participate sadly. (Not like I’d participate anyways) my siblings are competing. So, it will be fun to see how they do.

11/08/20: I live almost entirely in a world of logic and ideas. I find beauty in complex systems and how they intertwine. The last two months have shown me that emotion, no matter how much I have ignored it, is the most amazingly complex system ever.

11/07/20: Today was visitation day! Monday, my family should be here! 🙂

11/06/20: Today I was in my ministry class. My teacher, who likes to sound tough, brought in an extra bag with his class folder. My first thought was, “That’s somewhat suspicious.”
Thirty minutes into the class, my teacher just starts throwing candy at people. The expression on his face was deadpan almost the entire time which made it even more absurd and funny, all at the same time.
My new dorm-chore/job is to clean the toilets… We’ll soon see how much sleep I get this month. Needless to say, this next week is going to be a real test of my sanity.

11/05/20: Research for my paper is going swimmingly. I really do need better explanations for all of my eccentricities. Especially the ones that have to do with technology. E.g. why I don’t have FB, IG or Snap. (I originally didn’t because of parental restrictions. But, now I really want to stick with it for spiritual and time management reasons.)… work has been much nicer in the last few weeks. (Getting paid helps.)

11/04/20: My room passed Whiteglove with minimal demerits. 😛 With Whiteglove over: I have more time to invest in working on projects. I have like 3 projects coming due here soon so I’m spending a generous amount of time researching for them.
My family is going to visit for a youth conference that my college hosts, so that will be fun! It’s going to be quite the trip for them. Right now I’m looking forward to the end of the semester. By that time I should have a pretty respectable GPA.

11/03/20: Today we are having something called “Whiteglove”. It is exactly what it sounds like. Everyone had to be out of the dorm by 7:30. Our dorm-dad/super is going through all of the rooms, turning off the lights, shining a flashlight and wiping for dust. Any dust found =s demerits. 🙂 Both stressful and super fun at the same time.

11/02/20: I haven’t ever experienced so many social problems at once. *insert stereotypical nerd social problems here* 😛 Though, I love helping people with tech problems around campus! I played a fun game with a stuffed shark named Max on the bus. 🙂

10/27/20: Today I am just re-reading a ton of notes. I am also going to be working on a few projects that are due mid-next month. Done a few refresher exercises on freeCodeCamp.org they are actually pretty nice.

10/23/20: I’m finishing some notes I have to write for a few video lectures. I did a little CSS and HTML work here. Also, I am going to go to dinner here soon.

10/20/20: Well… now that I’m “old”, I can work at places I couldn’t work at before. It really is a problem. If you are more mature than you are “age-ed” then you can’t work where you want to.

10/17/20: I think I’m supposed to feel old now. That means I have to like old person things, like watches and clothes. 😛 The thing is, I have sort of switched over to those things already. I’m not really sure when the transition happened. If you haven’t seen it yet; I’ve added a few things to the “Other Links” page. I think I’ll make a section for product review and such-like.

10/14/20: Today is the first day of fall break for my school. Got a few projects done already in the early morning. Around 12ish I ate and then organized a few of my “storage shelves” mostly snacks and coffee. 😛 I love coffee, especially black coffee. Starbucks blonde Sumatran dark roast is real good stuff. (BTW I’m fairly certain I acquired Covid sometime last month… My sense of smell and taste is just not the same.)

10/13/20: Found two vulns in my schools systems (that sounds very ambiguous, I know…) so far. I think I am friends with the IT guy now. 😛 Also, Factorio!

10/10/20: It seems I have created a reputation for typing very fast in classes… 😛 (I typed a paper for one of my fellow freshmen in the 30 mins. prior to the class in which it was due. This also included running at top speed to the dorm to attempt to print said paper. I reached the dorm, only to find both toner and paper missing from the printer…
I spent so long trying to figure out what was wrong; That I just barely made it back to class in time.) TLDR: Don’t type other people’s papers for them. (It ends bad.)

The very long timeline actually wasn’t that bad. I invented some terrible “compression algorithm” so I don’t have to memorize that much information. Decompressing involves a lot of head-math.

10/06/20: Now, I think I actually have a job. After back and forth about one of my managers being in the hospital. I was “actually” “lost in the system”. What fun that whole mess was /s I am so glad all that excitement is over now. Hopefully I’ll get my first paycheck here in a bit. Also, I have to memorize a very long timeline. *ouch*

10/05/20: Well, I have no idea if it was something that I ate, but I was not feeling good tonight. Besides that I finished writing a paper this morning. 🙂

10/03/20: Well, you know that wave of projects? It’s here. Read through “The Devotional Life of the Sunday School Teacher” Yesterday evening. Today I am typing all of my notes out and editing them into something that will hopefully look like a 3 page report. Today I also had a nice long conversation with the IT person at my school (It sort of helps that I am on his bus route… I guess I lucked out there.)

09/27/20: Welp… today was quite busy. Also, I am sooo tired. I have church in a few hours, that will be nice. Also, I have quite a few projects due here soon. I think I may just work on them.

09/22/20: Well I made my command line interface to my diary thing nicer today. Also I’ve completed half of this semesters classwork for my CE class. *THAT FELT GOOD*

09/21/20: Yay. “I has job.” Also, “no has pagination.” 🙁 Will “has” soon. Very busy studying for OT I survey class. O, the many ways in which I do not like geography.

09/20/20: The plan this week is to get ahead and complete most of my out of class work for one class.

09/17/20: I’m going to a funeral tomorrow.

09/16/20: Another entry, another day. Pagination will make its eventual terrible comeback. I really need to use some sort of XML, HTML template engine. Today is a day off from classes. So, I’m using all of that sweet time to write this, and study for my classes. Also, I might just take a nap.

09/15/20: I will try NOT to use this log as a place for political tryrades. (It would be funny if I turned this entry into a political rant…) Anyways, today I have a decent class-load. Half the time I’m going to be studying though. *insert long story* TLDR: I quit a lot of my jobs I had back home, so now I’m seeking employment.

09/14/20: These first few posts are probably going to be more tests than actual posts so excuse them. I guess I’ll tell you what I’ve done to the backend anyways. So now, the backend has an SQLite DB that “hodl”s all my posts for me.

09/13/20: This is my first entry back from the dead. The backend is new because of reasons we shall not discuss.
Anyways I’m in college now and everything is really busy.
